The much awaited Choa Chu Kang BTO is finally launched. There are a total of 571 units of 2 to 4 room flats for applications.

The good news is that Keat Hong Verge has the shortest waiting time of just 23 months to key collection as compared to some BTOs that need a jaw dropping 5 years to complete! This is due to the additional measures required for construction sector to fight against COVID-19.

We do expect construction cost to go up in the near future due to all the additional safety measures for foreign worker dorms and thus the increase in cost of labour as well as raw materials. So do your maths and choose an affordable unit within your budget.

From the photos, you may be thinking that construction of the lower floor units may have commenced. But that isn't the case even thou the pre-fab units have gone "missing".

Over the past few days, we saw trailers transporting most of the pre-fab units that have been sitting there for months off the site. We have no idea why but it could be sent for testing or maybe even used for other sites. Do you know why? Let us know in the comments below.

Are you ready for August BTO - Keat Hong Verge

The Keat Hong Verge construction site has roared back to life. Dust and construction noise breaks the calm and peace for the past few months.

While the foundation and formworks have progressed a lot, you may have noticed the 2 cranes have not moved an inch since phase 2 resumed. Probably the crane operators are still under quarantine in the dorms.

And good news is the BTO will finally be launched this month after much delays due to circuit breaker.

It's a beautiful day as we hear the rumble of the generators and pneumatic motors running again.

Minor activities have resumed last week with workers seen doing formwork and rebar for the foundations.

Its a far cry from the situation before the Circuit Breakers.. But noone is complaining. We rather the economy and the world to resume in a crawling mode in the new normal than on a standstill.
